PULPA General Assembly Elected New Executive Members

PULPA General Assembling Meeting held in 15th January 2017 at Ministry of livestock and Animal Husbandry. The event was attended by all registered members of the Association. Also attended were Director General of Ministry of Livestock and Animal Husbandry, Director of Animal Health, Representatives from Terra Nouva and AUIBAR. The event is organized every four years to elect new Executive committee of the organization.

The Event was officially opened by Ahmed Ali Shire, Director General of Ministry of Livestock and Animal Husbandry, the director highly appreciated former PULPA Executive Committee for their tireless effort towards their contribution for Veterinary Services delivery and also he appreciated Terra Nouva RAHS Project for funding this activity.

The election Committee forwarded requirements to contest PULPA chairman and Vice Chairman. The committee requested the candidates to submit their formal request to the organizing committee. There were two candidates for the position of Chairman, Dr. Farah Mahad and Dr. Yasir Ahmed Mohamed and one candidate for the vice chairman, Abdurahman Jama.

The assembly elected Dr.Farah Mahad Farah for overpoweringly votes of around 44 votes, while his counterpart got 13 votes. Abdurahman Jama Aden was also elected as the vice chairman.
